Channel routes
A route says: everything posted in #chat also appears in #chat-fr, in French. Readers of #chat-fr never set anything up.
Create a route
/server route add source:#chat target:#chat-fr language:french
/server route add source:#chat target:#chat-ko language:korean
/server route listOne source can fan out to as many targets as you like.
What gets mirrored
- Text, with the author’s name and avatar (server nickname and per-server avatar when set).
- Rich embeds such as announcement crossposts, translated field by field.
- Attachments and links, forwarded as-is so previews still unfurl.
- Glossary terms stay untranslated.
Free vs Pro
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Routes per server | 1 | Unlimited |
| Routed messages per month | 200 | Unlimited |
The cap counts messages delivered through the free route; it resets on the 1st. When it’s reached, Talksy posts one notice in the source channel and pauses routes until the next month or an upgrade.
Pro is attached to a server by the subscriber adding a route there once — see How Pro attaches to a server.
